the last known unit to have operated with the company colours,
the aircraft is a former US Air Force unit (cn.
10790, serial 42-72685) and US Navy BuA87758, which was converted to the R5D-3
version, then to an RC-54V, C-54Q and is finally recognized as a
C-54D-10-DC. Once in the American civilian market it was registered as
N62441 having been bought by Fri Reyes ca. 1975.
In
Bolivia it carried DGAC record #679, its construction number was
erroneously listed as 97758, and the last airworthiness certificate it
carried dates back to 10July1992, with technical inspection dated back
to 02May77.
