CP-1434. -
Originally built as a Convair AT-29C (cn. 337) the aircraft was accepted by the
US
Air Force in September 25, 1953 carrying the 52-1098 registration
marking. Later it was converted to the ET-29C version and served with
the Federal Aviation Administration as N245, returning to the
USAF by 1972. It was stored at Davis-Monthan around April of 1975 and
bought by Fri Reyes in July 1979.
In Bolivia it
carried the Dirección General de Aeronáutica Civil (DGAC)
permit #906, listed in the 1992 Registry as a Convair CV-240 with
airworthiness certificate last validated on August 5, 1983; the aircraft
had been stored by 1988, a detail that was missed in this document.
The aircraft has
been moved from one side of the buildings to a position directly opposed
to the C-54. Exterior condition is poor and US Air Force roundels are
becoming visible, looks like the unit has been cannibalized of any
useful item. |
