TAM used to be almost an exclusive military cargo outfit operating
C-130s. Many of this aircraft are now stored in El Alto, in a section
opposite to the military passenger terminal, this area is known as the
“cementerio de aviones” or “el parque”.

TAM-01.-
This L-188A (cn. 1125) was acquired by Lloyd Aéreo Boliviano as
CP-853 in 1968, previously it had been owned by American Airlines as
N6134A/134 “Flagship Memphis” from February 1960 to August 1968. On
January 1974 it was purchased by TAM and registered as TAM-69
(1), later on it received an overhaul in Great Britain and became TAM-01
(2) with which operated from 1976 to 1998.
